dc.description.abstract ABSTRACT The research was on challenges affecting implementation of Unconditional Cash Transfer in poor household in Bondo Sub-County, Kenya. Objectives were how refusal rate, political instability, fraud cases and violence within households affect the implementation of Unconditional Cash Transfer. The study used descriptive research design which allowed the researcher to gather data, summarize it and present and interpret it for the purpose of clarification. The study used interview and questionnaire to collect empirical data from 28 respondents using simple random sampling. Each item selected were according to the specific objective of the study. The structured questions were analyzed using descriptive statistics like frequency distribution tables, charts and graphs. The study also used correlation analysis to find relationship with the variables of the objective. The study found that most of poor households experience some of the challenges of Unconditional Cash Transfer program such as argument within the household, theft, which is a form of violence, which affects the sustainability of the program. The study found that Unconditional Cash Transfer program has experienced few refusal rates when implementing. en_US
