ABSTRACT
This study was carried between September 2017 and April 2018 to assess the adverse effects caused by improper waste disposal. The research had four objectives which were to investigate the effects of improper waste disposal to health, environment and economy and the forth objective was to study the possible mitigations to these affects. A sample population of a hundred respondents was taken which was taken to be 10% of the sample population, out of 57 643 the total number of the residents in Narok town. Questionnaires were given to the residents and county officers since they were the main focus of study. They were filled and collected and the findings analyzed. The research found that improper waste management had adverse effects to the environment, health and the economy. This project contain five chapters; chapter one; introduction to the project which consisted the background study of the research and the objectives, chapter two; literature review and the theories related to research, chapter three; methodology; the methods and tools employed to collect data, chapter four; data analysis and presentation; the research used bars, tables and pie charts to analyze the findings, and chapter five; summary, conclusion and recommendation.
