Causes Of Child Abuse An Its Effects On A Girl Child In Bomet County, Bomet East Constituency, Framer Area.

Abstract

Child sexual abuse is the maltreatment of children by the means of sexual act. This is a form of child abuse that is happening in Bomet county, Bomet constituency-Nyongores Ward.The reasons behind the same are not clear and thus the research was to investigate them. The researcher reviewed relevant literature concerning the same to get more information related to it. The primary data collection the researcher employed survey design to investigate the same issue in which he moved through the targeted geographical area asking respondents and observing the cases in relation to the studied topic. The research targeted 300 people of which die researcher sampled 50% of the targeted people which turned to be 150 people. The criteria used was probability sampling in which the researcher mainly used cluster technique in which he went to places where he could get respondents in large numbers. Data collections instruments were :Questionnaires, Interviews and Observation in which questionnaires were mainly for hotel officials and teacher while interviews for the street boys and hawkers. Data was analyzed through scanned and coding tabulation done. Findings indicate that child sexual abuse was due to tourism industry drug and substance abuse together with poverty the findings if not curbed down the poor children lives are in danger and me government and other humanitarian Agencies should step to save children.
