dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of welfare services on performance of employees in public universities of Kenya a case study of Maasai Mara University. Specific objectives of the study were; to assess whether health services influence the performance of an employee, to establish the contribution of social insurance measures towards the performance of an employee and to examine whether recreational facilities influence an employee's performance. A descriptive research design was used in the study. The target population for this study consisted of 245 employees of Maasai Mara University. Stratified random sampling was used to select a sample size of 65 respondents. The research instrument used was a questionnaire. Data was tabulated and analyzed using descriptive statistics and it was presented using tables, bar graphs and pie charts. The findings of the study indicated that welfare services influences the performance of employees. The study recommended that the public Universities should improve their welfare services in order to improve their employees‟ performance. The study shall be beneficial as it will outline the influence of welfare services on the employees‟ performance. The study shall provide scholars in the field of employee welfare services as they will use this information to understand influence of welfare services on the employee performance. The findings will act as a reference to future researches on the influence of welfare in an organization. | en_US |
