Abstract:
Implementations of policies and plans for successful records management is very vital. These policies and plans must be implemented systematically throughout the entire institution by deployment of good records management tools and processes, training and services and record keeping systems. Implementation should align records management processes together with core business of the organization so that they support effective business operations. Understanding of the organizations culture and attitudes toward records keeping together with staff trainings assists in the successful implementations of a records management program within the organization. This project is based on the study whose aim was to investigate the challenges faced in the management of records in Maasai Mara University and recommend the framework to enhance the management of these records in the online with international best practice.in summery this study was organized into five chapters. Chapter one sets the scene by giving an introduction to the study the problem statement, purpose of the study, significance of the study, objectives of the study, research questions, scope and limitations of the study, assumptions of the study as well as conceptual framework and definition of terms. Chapter two focused on literature review while chapter three discussed the research methodology. Chapter four npresented the analysis of data as well as the findings of the study. Chapter five presented the summary, conclusions and recommendations of the study
