A study on the causes of HIV/AIDS among teenagers in kenya: A case study of osupuko location narok county in kenya

Abstract

The study was examining the factors influencing the youths engaging in drug in Ololulung’a Narok South sub-county. The purpose of the study was to establish factors that causes youth to engage in drug abuse, their effects of the drugs and was guided by specific objectives that is to determine how drugs affect youths and their entire social life. Secondary data was sourced from different books written by several authors related by the research topic and internet sources while primary data was obtained from respondents in Ololulung’a location Narok South sub-County.However a sample size of 100 was used. Questionnaire was used to collect information from the respondents, which data was obtained from the field and coded into a manageable proportion before transferring them into the system for analysis by statistical package, data was presented in the form of tables, pie-charts and bar-graphs. The findings of the study showed that most of the youths lacked work that made them to engage in drug use and abuse in ololung’a location.
