dc.description.abstract Mathematics i a core unit in every discipline and every career sector has to involve mathematic at some point. However, many tudents tend to perform below average in secondary schools which forms the basis for advancement in higher learning. Availability of learning resources, tudent attitude and motivation are three key factors the tudy will eek to inve tigate and to provide possible recommendation to enable improvement in the level of mathematic performance. The target population will be the total 56 public econdary chools in arok County of which a sample of 10 chool is taken for the tudy by the use ofMugenda and Mugenda sample size determination formula. Pearson correlation coefficient will be used to give comparison between each factor under tudy and the total students' performance at past KCSE examinations results. It is anticipated that findings of this tudy will give curriculum developers new insights into emerging i sues on performance and influence the ministry of education on policy formulation . en_US
