dc.description.abstract HIV/AIDs is a contemporary issue in the world. The purpose of the study was to determine social economic implication of HIV/AIDs on PLWHA using a case study of Narok level 6 hospital as a case study. The study was guided by two major objectives which include to examine social-economic implication of HIV/AIDs in Narok county and to determine how PLWA cope with the disease. The research will be of importance to the government of Narok county in finding out how HIV/AIDs has affected the social economic life of people living with HIV/AIDS and their families, it will also help them to understand how PLWHA cope with the disease. The research used conflict theory in theoretical framework to explain how PLWHA as minority are in conflict with other people because they think their rights has been infringed. The research used descriptive research design, using questionnaires and interviews as tools. The research was analyzed using SPSS and THEMATIC ANALYSIS. The research found out that HIV/AIDs has impact on economic and social lives of PLWHA as well as on their families and children, it was also noted that women are more infected and affected with HIV/AIDs compared to men. The research recommended some of the steps to be undertaken so as to curb HIV/AIDs they include; promote public awareness and education on how to mitigate impacts of HIV/AIDs, government should come up with initiatives and policy to reduce or mitigate effect and spread of HIV/AIDS, media also should help in reducing the spread of HIV/AIDs through advertising. en_US
