dc.description.abstract This purpose of this study was to find out the significance of cross cultural management on performance of Maasai Mara University. The specific objectives of the study were; To investigate the impact of cultural diversity on communication amongst employees of Maasai Mara University, to find out how cultural diversity has contributed to enhanced problem solving amongst staff, to determine if cross cultural management has led to improved decision and performance and to investigate the relationship between cultural diversity and values, norms and attitudes. The study may be of significance to Maasai Mara University management as they may use the findings from the study to develop guidelines to help staff appreciate and deal with the cultures diversity in Maasai Mara University. The ministry of culture and sports may also use the study as a reference for the management, appreciation of culture for improved work processes and general unity in working together in teams. Data was collected using self–administered interview guide. The collected data was analyzed and presented using descriptive statistics .The findings from the study showed that Maasai Mara University had adopted strategies to cope with cultural diversity among its employees. These strategies adopted ranged from strong human resource pool that is well trained, good knowledge of external culture and mutual understanding and simplification of complex processes. The Institution achieved this strategies through various techniques which ranged from its employees, technology, market research, innovation and manpower development and talent nurturing. en_US
